Description: This is a collection, of all the early Jewish exegesis on the Bible. It includes all of what is found in the Talmud, Mishnah and the Midrashic literature down to the early Jewish writers and commentators. Organized according to the order of the verses in the Bible. Which would be virtually inaccessible to even the a learned Hebraist let alone someone not versed in the Hebrew language or versed in the wide range of sources available. With the sources quoted alone one gets the sense of it's great utility and enlightenment. There are also certain important subjects that are dealt with and expounded upon separately as appears in the writings throughout the ages, this is presented in the form of an addenda in the back. Originally written in Hebrew by Dr. M. Kasher, and translated here into English by Dr. H Freedman Ph.D. Included in this offering are 7 volumes which span the entire book of Genesis, it also includes the first volume on Exodus, the actual set I believe only goes 2 more volumes, as the work that this required was exhaustive.
Condition: As seen one volume is missing a spine cover, however binding is good. Some markings on the page edges, some volume's pages are yellowed.
